A native of Minsk (Belarus), Russia. Has been travelling since 1966, and covered the entire USSR in 1982, from Belarus to Magadan, which clocked 404, 000 KM.

The map and flags as it represent itself are the few countries that have been covered during his tour.

Vladimir A. Yarets, 67, strong-willed and also an optimiser. Travelling has been his dream since young. Deaf and mute, caused by a German bomb exploded near him when he was an infant. Despite his disability, nothing can stop him from entering the Guinness World Record as the only deaf and mute individual who has travelled around the world.

It took 7 years to reach his first Asia tour, Hong Kong, since he embarked his journey on May 27, 2000, that have been covered and have clocked a total distance of more than 279,560KM.

Singapore was the 5th stop of the Asia tour on Fed 25 2008, and also the 42th country out of 44 countries that have been covered.

Not just an ordinary bike. This is his 2nd bike. During October 2003, in a small town of Peoria, America. Vladimir A. Yarets collided with a lorry, and with two broken legs, a broken pelvis and a broken arm, he was forced to stay and with the help of others, he recovered – almost a year, much longer than initially expected.
